Pamela Jean Yeates

Pamela Jean Yeates, known to all as “Pam”, passed away far too soon on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026 in Payson, Utah. Pam grew up in Laramie, Wyoming, the second youngest of seven sisters, where her bold spirit first took shape. She later made her home in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she built a beautiful life and raised her two daughters—the center of her world.

Pam was impossible to miss. She was the first to dance without music, to sing just to break the silence, to scream around a corner to make you jump, and to say exactly what she was thinking. She was known for her vibrant, unapologetic personality and her unforgettable smile, but to those closest to her, she was defined by her enormous heart and unconditional love.

Though Pam is no longer dancing among us, her rhythm remains—in every laugh, every memory, and every life she touched.

Survived by her husband, Spencer Yeates; her daughters, Nina Curtis and Candice Mower; her cherished grandson, Hayes Mower; loving fur babies, Jack and Tink; Sisters, Terri (Walter), Joann, Sue, Madeline (Darrell), Nikki, Dinnie (Sean); and many family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Laurence O’Toole Church in Laramie, Wyoming. Burial will follow, with a celebration of life to be held afterward at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2221, where family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and honor Pam.
