Eldona (nee Wanrow) Gossman, 99, of Laramie, passed away on July 14, 2026. She was born April 8, 1927 in Humbolt, Nebraska, the daughter of Herbert and Faye (nee Moritz) Wanrow.
She received her schooling in the Humbolt area.
She married Billie Gossman on October 28, 1944 in Sabetha, Kansas. They moved to Kimball, Nebraska, where she taught school. Later they moved briefly to Denver, Raton, N.M. and Lamar, CO before moving to Laramie, WY in 1965.
Eldona was interested in crafts, antiques, genealogy, hiking in the mountains, square dancing, line dancing, and walking her beloved dogs. She had been a member of a collector’s glass club, genealogy and Laramie Women’s Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, brother, Elden Kay, and her parents.
She is survived by her sons, Greg and wife, Debby Gossman of Ft. Worth, TX, Larry “Joe” Gossman of Laramie; her daughter, Susan and her husband, Lowell Spackman of Laramie; and her six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Eldona will be laid to rest at Greenhill Cemetery beside her husband.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to any local animal shelter.
Heaven has gained a very special angel whose name is Eldona. We ae all better in our lives for having known her kindness, goodness, decency and caring. Our deepest sympathy to the family.
Greg, Debbie, and families, I just received a note from Ken Costello alerting me that your mother had passed. You have our most sincere condolences.
