Suzanne Carol Sanders Roe, 85, of Cheyenne, formerly of Laramie, WY, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY. She was born November 19, 1940 in Louisville, KY to Kenneth Raymond. and Hazel Lillian (nee Clothier) Sanders.
Suzanne taught Accounting at the University of Wyoming for 15 years and was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Cathedral and St. Christopher’s Church.
She married Robert Gene Roe on August 27, 1966 in Seattle, Washington.
Suzanne is survived by her children, Heather Roe Day (Donald Day Jr.) of Cheyenne, WY, and Robert Kenneth Roe (Ann Fries-Roe) of Boise, Idaho; and her three grandchildren.
A celebration of Suzanne’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Cathedral with the Rev. Robin Chance, officiating.
Private family burial will take place at Greenhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers friends may make a contribution to Laramie County Library Foundation, Prayers and Squares or a charity of their choice.

Suzanne was a remarkable woman. She helped me with accounting in the church office. She and Bob also were instrumental in helping start the Clothing Cottage. I will miss her so much. The picture you put with the obituary is absolutely perfect. It made me smile. Kathleen and Phil White

My heart is with you as you grieve the loss of Suzanne. She was such a wonderful friend, and I will always treasure the time we spent quilting together at Prayers for Squares. Her quilts carried her spirit — lovely, thoughtful, and stitched with quiet kindness. So sorry to hear of Suzanne's passing. I worked in the College of Business for several years while she was in the Accounting Dept. and Bob was in the Mgmt./Mktg. Dept. Both were great people and fun to be around. They will be missed by family and friends. Their daughter, Heather, worked as a work study student with me too a long time ago.
I am sorry for your loss. Suzanne was the most positive person I have every known. Her teaching skills were beyond compare. She was an inspiration.
