May I offer my condolences to The family! I know we are family too , long distance keeps families apart which is a shame. But Gayla was an awesome lady and a fellow survivor and a total trooper and very sweet lady ! She will forever and always be a bright shining star in Heavens bright light! She will shine upon her family & friends from a cloud upon the horizon! May I also off this poem as well, as I wrote this for my friends that have passed but it has so special a meaning with Aunt Gayla now!! This one I wrote a very long time ago, i think back in 2004? If I had one day left. If I had one day left, what would I do? I could take a short breath, and say I love you. If I had one day left, I'd want to be held. So that our hearts & minds could meld. You would never be forgotten. As I lay here in this cotton. If I had one day left, there is not a lot I could think of. But this is about our love. The times we have shared, the life we have lived. I have done it all, and gave all I could give. As I lay here suffering and in pain. I wish to know my life God gave me was not in vain. I wish to know that I have touched some hearts. As I lay here knowing we must part. The anger I have at dying is gone. As I get ready to go to the great beyond. I have no regrets, I am forever grateful that we met. As the light dims in my eyes. I look at you and say good bye. I reach for one last kiss. And I know that I will truely be missed. My heart aches for you. Please do not be blue. I shall wait for you in heavens bright light. I close my eyes, and give up the fight. Written By: Sandra K. Yeaple Serrano (SKYS) Or this one fits too, I love you Aunty G! A guiding light was called home today! I didn't know this Angel, but I prayed for her anyways. She was a friend, a daughter, a mother, a grandmother. But to her family she will always be there Angel in the Sky. The brightest star to look upon in the skies. They can look up and say there final good bye. But we shall all meet again soon in heavens bright lights. I seen an Angel fly home this day, so I waved good bye as I saw her smile, as she flew away. Because she was home again & her love was already in heaven above. Please don't cry for me she says, I love you all & will see you again! Written by: Sandra K. Yeaple Serrano (SKYS) May God always walk with you and your family left here on Earth! ???????
