Darlene Faye Chytka

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Faye (Hartman) Chytka on June 12, 2025 in Laramie Wyoming. She was born on September 1, 1934 in Ellis, South Dakota. She was a Registered Nurse and a CASA Volunteer. She enjoyed golfing and pulling pranks on the family. She loved to laugh. 

She is survived by her husband Mark O. Chytka whom she married on December 27, 1955; her children Gregory M. Chytka and his wife Evelyn “JO”, Kimberly F. Chytka, and Paul W. Chytka and his wife, Mary; grandchildren, 

Mark Chytka and his wife Colleen; Kelsey Chytka Wine and her husband Will, Haley Chytka Karn and her husband Doug, and Sydney Chytka; great grandchildren, Max and Zoey Wine, Wilder and Finley Chytka; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Katherine “CADY” Hartman, sister Marilyn Schmit and her husband Virgil; in-laws, Fred and Florence Chytka.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Nathan Keith, officiating. 

Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, Food Pantry, Animal Shelter or any organization of your choice.
