Darlene Gallegos passed away at her home on August 5th, 2023, in Laramie. She was born July 17th, 1946, in Greeley, Colorado to Phillip and Gladys Gallegos. Darlene graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1996 with her bachelor’s degree. She loved cooking for her family, playing skip-bo and working at the Laramie Senior Housing caring for others.
She is preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Gladys Gallegos, siblings Don Gallegos, Dolores Bergstrom, Norma Bernhardt, Cleota Mayo, David Gallegos, and Juanita Pharoh; and her fury companion Keisha.
Darlene is survived by her children Jamie and his wife Michelle of Denver, and Jerry of Laramie, her grandchildren Josh of Laramie, and Skyler and her fiancé Dalton of Denver, and her siblings Virgil (Jody) of Rock River and Rockie Gallegos of Laramie.
A celebration of life will be held at the Eagles Club in Laramie on September 9th, at 11:00 a.m.
I worked with Dolly at Laramie Senior Housing. She was an amazing person - so giving, so friendly, so caring, so loving, so generous. I am so sorry to hear of her death. She left her fingerprints all over town. She made a positive difference.
I am so sorry to here about Darlene. We went to school together, she was a beautiful friend. RIPmy friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
