Tracy Alan Sheen

Tracy Alan Sheen 36, devoted husband, father, brother and son, passed away February 22, 2026.

Tracy was born on July 29, 1989, to Timothy and Shawn Sheen in Laramie, WY.  Growing up, Tracy spent his days rodeoing and being with his grandparents- Claris and Beverly Sheen. Spending as much time as he could at his family’s cabin fishing, hunting and getting into mischief.  As a child, Tracy really enjoyed tuning up RC remote-controlled cars. From the word go, Tracy was a spitfire, ornery, helpful, loving and would give his shirt off his back kind of guy. He prided himself on being a Sheen. Tracy participated in High school rodeo, football, varsity basketball, 4H, FFA and wanted to grow up to be part of the Hot Shot Crew in Wyoming. Catching the hunting bug at an early age, it quickly became his number one passion every year. He enjoyed spending all the time he could up in the mountains and at his/family cabin.  His persistence and patience never failed. Tracy was so looking forward to continuing teaching Tucker how to hunt and grow to be a hardworking man. Mady was his “little girl”, and longed to teach her to love hunting too.

Tracy moved to Cheyenne and was hired with JeffCo Construction as a carpenter. Jeff taught Tracy everything about construction from the ground up and became a mentor/father figure for Tracy.

On June 28, 2014, Tracy married his “blind date girl” Joni Moreland. Together they have raised two wonderful children. Tucker and Madyson. After the birth of Tucker, Tracy took a position as a UPS driver, then was promoted to a on road supervisor position in Laramie. In July 2019, the family moved back to Laramie starting what Tracy would call, “The Funny Farm”. He went with the flow, never dismissing Joni’s animal enthusiasm. Tracy received an opportunity to be a part of the Patriot Tire CO with his best friend/neighbor Micah, which Tracy took great pride in. As a jokester, like he was, Tracy became an on-line ordained minister and married his Aunt Fawn and Uncle Brad.

Tracy was never a show person. In the dictionary, the word “simple” should have Tracy in its meaning. He never wanted the best or newest of anything. Tracy could fix and build anything. He loved finding something cheap and fixing it up-especially trucks. He also never asked for much except for others respect, honesty and their word. Integrity and hard work are what Tracy truly lived by. He would always say “Treat others as you would want to be treated”, along with, “If he didn’t earn it, he didn’t want it”.

Life won’t ever be the same for those who knew and loved Tracy. He was truly a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will never be forgotten and sorely missed by all.

Tracy is survived by his wife Joni, children Tucker and Mady, his mother Shawn Sheen, brother Kyle (Sara and Sadie), grandmother Danna Rigg, Aunt Dawn Stroh, Aunt Fawn (Brad) Benson, Aunt Lianne (Tony) Kupulik, several cousins, aunts and uncles, along with his much-loved extended family in Maryland.

Tracy is preceded in death by his father, Tim Sheen and grandparents Claris and Beverly Sheen, Ron Rigg.

Tracy’s celebration of life will be held March 29, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the Albany County Fairgrounds.

Joni, I wish more than anything I could be there to sit with you right now. My heart breaks for you and the kids. I know Tracy was a hardworking man and a good father who would do anything for his family — that kind of love and dedication doesn’t just disappear. It will forever live on in you and your children and in the life you all built together. I know there are no words that can ease this kind of pain, but please know you don’t have to carry it alone. To the entire Sheen Family, this is such a tough time as Tracy was taken way too early and we all cared about him deeply........I will keep praying. From the kid I first met in a Wyoming Cowboys hoodie, to the man I watched mature over the last nearly 20 years, I always knew he was special and one of a kind. We learned soooooooo much from each other and I can't believe he is gone. I will never forget all the good times we had. From work, to hunting, to our times up in the mountains. Tracy will always hold a special place in my heart. He will never know how much I loved him and will forever miss him. Good Bye Dear Friend and Godspeed. RIDE ON COWBOY!!

  • Desti Sellars (Collins)

Joni, and family, I cannot even imagine the pain you are facing. Tracy was always so kind to me, I would show up at UPS constantly to bother my dad at work and Tracy never kicked me out, even though he should have. Even after my dad passed away, I brought in donuts and looked for (hid from) Tracys authority to kick me out and he never did. My dad and Tracy may not have always seen eye to eye back then, but I promise ya my dad is kicking him right now telling him he's way too young to be "up there". So sorry for your loss and pain during this time.

  • Randi Teel
