Mary Isabel Sanchez

Mary Isabel Sanchez entered eternal life on Sunday, October 22, 2023, after a brief illness.  Affectionately known to her family and friends as “Izzy” or “Belle”, she was born on March 10, 1952 to Mary Rosales Peters.  Isabel graduated from Laramie High School in 1970 and lived in Laramie all her life.

Isabel was a beautiful soul. She loved to do her word search puzzles, watch her favorite programs, and call her Uncle Rome about the various sports teams playing that weekend.  She had a remarkable memory, enjoyed good food, being with family and listening to Mexican music.

Isabel is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Peters.  She is survived by one sibling, two nephews, one niece, numerous loving cousins and her beloved uncle, Rome Sanchez.

Services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Newman Center with burial immediately following at Greenhill Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the following for their care and guidance during Isabel’s final years: Kathy Flores (case worker), the Ark staff and residents, the staff at Hospice of Laramie, most notably, Laurie Heath, Gulla Burke, and Toni Hinman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Laramie.

My Dear Prima Isabel, I tried to visit you when I was Laramie. I tried to find your address. The people I talked to said they would get back to me. I am so sorry we couldn't get together. May you rest in peace. Amen

My dearest cousin Bella how we will all miss you. You always had time to ask how everyone was and to make sure you told me to say hello to my boys. You were such a giving soul and I am so thankful we were able to grow up with you so close. Rest in peace with all our loved ones who went before you ❤️

When Lauren & Jeremy were little, Isabel would always call our house to tell us what time and channel the kid Holiday specials were on. She was full of love for us and us for her. She was such a blessing. Rest In Paradise Isabel ❤️
