Keith Alan Woolf passed away February 22, 2025, in Laramie, peacefully after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia.

Born in Laramie on November 2, 1946 to Carl and Harriet (Griest) Woolf.  He graduated from Laramie High School in 1965, attended the University of Wyoming and graduated with a degree in Speech Pathology.

Keith began his career as a speech pathologist in the schools of Western Nebraska where he met his wife, Jane. He returned to Laramie in 1975 continuing as a speech pathologist at Laramie Junior High and High School, retiring in 2009. In addition to his career, he proudly assisted and eventually acquired the family business of Laramie Floral and Woolf’s Greenhouse and started his own hobby shop, Train Service Junction. He looked forward to sharing stories of his experiences and knowledge with the community.

Keith had many hobbies and shared interests he enjoyed with his family and friends, including Classic Cars, Trains, and road trips. A lifelong Wyoming Cowboy Football fan and season ticket holder he was proud to have only missed a few home games.

Keith is survived by Jane his wife of 51 years, children Todd Woolf (Abby) and Kelli Beach (Justin) and his two grandchildren Hunter and Hadlea Beach as well as many cousins and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Harriet and an infant sister Cheryl.

A celebration of life is planned for 2-6 PM, Friday, Aug 29th at the Alice Hardie Stevens Center. In lieu of flowers please consider donating blood or plasma in appreciation for the many donations that helped Keith during his treatment, or donate to a charity of your choice.

Keith’s family would like to extend appreciation to the wonderful and caring staff at Ivinson Hospital & Cancer Center for the exceptional care and compassion that was given to Keith these past four years.

He was my speech therapist back when I was going through school, he really made a big difference for me, he unlocked my life in many ways. He was more than a teacher, he was a wonderful human being. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Jane, I was so sorry to hear of Keith's passing. He was a mentor to me when I began working for the School District and became a friend. He had such a caring, understanding way with the students' he worked with. I was out of town the day of the memorial service and was sorry to have missed it.

Dear Jane and family, We both have fond memories of Keith. Lynn especially enjoyed working around him both at the high school and junior high. It was always a pleasure visiting with him. I remember seeing him around the flower shop in the 50's and early 60's. We also looked forward to seeing him in his fun hat he wore to the Wyoming games. We already miss him. Love to you and your family. Lynn and MaryAnn Pendleton

Jane and family, I have such fond memories of living next door to Keith on Steele Street when growing up -- being out talking to him while he spent hours washing and waxing his red convertible, playing one-on-one basketball with him etc. And then once Carl & Harriet moved up on the Hill our Botkin family still stopped by every Christmas Eve to visit. I'm sorry I won't be able to make it to Keith's celebration of life, but once I'm back in Laramie I'll find a way to connect with you Jane! Love to all of you from the entire Botkin family!

Keith was our LHS colleague for many years. He always had a smile, a kind word, or a funny story to share. Such a nice man. My sincere condolences to his family.

He was my favorite teacher in high school! We would talk locomotives and somehow forget about school work. He had a great sense of humor and he loved his job. I will dearly miss him. I’m very sorry for your loss!
