Joyce was such a fun person. You knew if you were around her there would be laughter and merriment. My Mother Veda Penman Gerrard and Joyce became friends in college at UW and it was a friendship which continued a lifetime. We would go to Laramie for activities and often stay with Joyce. She and Mom would usually be "enjoying a cocktail" and telling stories about the many great times they shared together. It didn't matter how old they were; together they always seemed to be young. To me Joyce will always be the eternal Homecoming queen. Tall, beautiful, smart and fun. We were so very sad that we could not attend her funeral. I am sure with such a great family it was one to remember. Laramie will never be quite the same without her social play by play. Her insight into all things UW was priceless. All our love to Amber, Amy and Charlie. Thanks for sharing.
Dear dear Joyce, such a beauty in every way. I've missed Brownie since his death, but was happy to still have you in our presence. It's wonderful for you two amazing people to now be reunited. Prayers to your kids and their families. Lynne Livingston
I have such fond memories of Joyce’s laughter, her beautiful Christmas tree and watching the dear friendship she and my mom, Lois shared for many years. I loved being neighbors with Joyce and Amber when they moved to Richard’s Park. Praying the family is comforted and given peace knowing Joyce lived life well. Laurie Marquardt Westlake
Many years ago I did much work on remodeling of Joyce and James home....ever gracious and I always enjoyed her kindness and Jims sorta unfiltered commentaries. He was quite the regular at Home Bakery in the halcyon years, for sure. What lovely, full lives that so many of us were lucky to enjoy. ralph johnson jr.
Grandma Joyce was always so fun. I loved her wit and wisdom. Her spirit will be greatly missed.
Amy (and your family) I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your wonderful memories will bring you peace during this difficult time. Marge Maire
We are sorry for your loss. Joyce Brown was always so energetic and engaged when in our company. So beautiful at Jackie and Hunter's wedding.
