I grew up as close friends with Leslie, Mr. Miller was a nice man. I have to admit I didn't know he was a national hero too. I remember him well, playing in his boat (he wasn't as happy about that as I was), eating over, remember his love for the Pokes, his listening to the away games on the radio, and many other instances. My heart feel heavy at the news of his passing.

I grew up right across the street from the Miller family and they have been life long friends. I was closest in age to Leslie but I was well acquainted with the whole family. Mr. Miller was a kind man and will be missed. Patricia was always fun to be around when she came to visit and I looked up to Carl for his expertise with cars and all things mechanical. I am very sorry for your loss, this has to be very hard on everyone. I now work with Jeff Lang, who is an incredible person and a great friend. It would seem my ties with both the Andersons (Tammy) and the Millers spans my lifetime. It is a small world we all live in and my thoughts and prayers are with all of your.

I first met Glenn Miller in the early 1970's when I attended UW. He was an inspiration to those around him. He was proud of his children and wife and his household was always warm and welcoming. His children are evidence of his values and those who knew him will miss him. Time passes and even people who seem indestructible finally leave us. That is how Glenn seemed to me. I am sad he is gone, but what a wonderful and long life he had, living to see his children grown with children of their own. My sympathies and comfort are sent to his children, all of whom I know and care about. I hope Trish, Carl and Leslie have lots of memories to keep them warm :) My wife and I send our best.
