Dear cousin, I was in the process of sending you our Christmas card when I learned of your passing. You brought such positive energy, intelligence, optimism, good humor, and radiance to this world. It will be a colder and bleaker place without you. The music in Laramie has gone silent, but the music in heaven is more joyous. Goodbye, primo.

Oh my, Punch was such a powerful and kind soul. A mentor and friend. I am so glad I got to see him a couple months ago as I drove through Laramie on a recent road trip. It just won’t be the same without him. Sending my love to everyone whose life he touched.

Gerald F. “Punch” Williamson. Truly one of a kind. A very special man. During the time I was minister at the Laramie United Methodist Church, he was a good friend, willingly giving of his talents if we needed held at the church. Well done, Punch. Rest from your labors, rest in peace.

I'd always thought there would be more days with Punch around. He could always be depended on. Now who's gonna spray paint my hubcaps. Punch, you were a damn fine one, and my life is forever blessed for having known you. PS: I hope someone gets the rum puddings from the closet.

Punch was a dear and remarkable man who leaves a Mount Everest of good deeds behind. His kindness permutated everyone who had contact with him. He was a fabulous musician and kept the bells ringing in Laramie. His hands improved every pipe organ in town. He was fount of knowledge in almost every area that could be imagined. One winter I watch him rebuild the engine of a Rolls Royce with the precision of a master mechanic. Most of all he was a dear friend and will be in my thoughts as long as I breathe.
