Donald Anthony Block

Don was a travelin’ man and rode his bikes through the mountains.  He loved Wyoming. He lived in Michigan, Florida for a long time, moved back to Wyoming and lived a bit in Colorado before moving back to Wyoming, again. He gave tours from Miami to the Bahamas, and loved Costa Rica, too. He had a limousine service in Florida and co-founded the Sand Paper in Ft. Meyers Beach, then delivered it from Miami across down back to F M B.  He was a good writer and wrote the Nascar page. He managed properties in Florida and then bought some of them.  He loved to sing, and was a good dancer. He loved his children, family and friends.  He restored vehicles and motorcycles in the last several years.  He loved sports, and was faithful to his Michigan teams.  He loved to give and take care of others.  We will miss him very much.  He was always singing a song or listening to music.  I can hear him now.

I met Don many years ago when living at the house of P. Schilling near Undine Park. That house was always full of characters and Don was often one of them. We had a lot of good conversations when he stopped in for a few beers between travels and everyone always looked forward to his visits. I lost touch with him around 1995 but thought of him often and hoped he was living his best life. It seems like he did. Cheers old friend.

I remember hanging out with Don a few times when he was visiting Angie. He always seemed to be in charge and knew where he was going. You could tell he had done a quite a few things and been places and he knew how to have a good time.. He had strong mix of street smarts and common sense. I wasnt really aware how wide his talents stretched , but in remembering him it's not hard to believe . He was quite a presence. May he rest in peace .
