Stephen Frederick Richardson

Stephen Frederick Richardson, 69, of Walden, Colorado, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home.

Stephen was born September 24, 1948, to Francis and Dorothy Richardson in Denver, Colorado.

He married Kathleen J. Hogan in Walden on December 8, 2012.

Stephen entered the Army March 6, 1969 in Denver, Colorado and served for three years. While serving, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar.

He loved to hunt and fish, guns, military, horses, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and boating. Stephen also loved going to the cabin with his friends. He was a caring person and would give you the shirt off his back.

He worked for thirteen years as a diesel mechanic at the Louisiana Lumber Mill and was part of the NRA.

Stephen is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arthur and Hank.

Stephen is survived by his spouse, Kathy; children Josh Archuleta (Colette) in Denver, John Quigley (Karin) in Cheyenne, and Jesse Butts in Laramie; grandchildren Jacob, Jessica, Amber, Lucas, Alexis, Heather, Lee, Scott, Amber, J.T., and Stephen; great-grandchild Ara; and siblings, Ronnie Richardson and Caroline Randall.

A celebration of life will be held 2 pm, Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Jackson County Senior Center.
