Rosa Lee Huscher

Rosa Lee Huscher passed away on August 13, 2021 at the age of 84 in Laramie, Wyoming,
after battling a long illness. She had a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by all who knew
and loved her.
Rosie was born on March 31, 1937 in Denver, Colorado. On July 4, 1954 she married her soul
mate, Lyle Huscher. They raised two sons and a daughter in Aurora, Colorado and were married for 60
years.
Rosie’s passion was her family. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved making clothes
and other things for her family. Her baby blankets, clothing, quilts, and play items have been cherished
and passed on from one generation to the next, including the infamous Honis and Natalie dolls that all
the grandkids loved. Rosie’s home-made gifts brightened up the holidays. She made the best Halloween
costumes ever, and she was famous for humorously finishing her Christmas gifts up to the wire,
wrapping them late into the night on Christmas Eve. In addition to crafting, Rosie loved camping,
fishing and playing cards and board games with her husband, kids, and the rest of the family.
Upon retirement Lyle and Rosie moved to Worland, Wyoming in 2002. Rosie was a breast
cancer survivor and loved participating in Worland’s Gorgeous Gals Gala. The costumes and props she
made for the gala were a hit year after year. A portion of the money raised from the Gala supported
people in the area battling cancer.
In 2020 Rosie moved into The Spring Wind Assisted living facility in Laramie, Wyoming
where she was well cared for and loved. She was then admitted into the Hospice of Laramie facility
where she passed away peacefully.
Rosie is survived by her daughter, Shari (Jim) of Worland, and son, Steve (Barb) of Aurora. She
is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Jeri, Carlee, Adam, Jamie, Dani, Justin, Jacob, and Ashley; 7 great
grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and one on the way; a sister, Connie, and a brother, Loren; and
many nieces and nephews, among other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Harvey and Dolly; her brother, Ernie; her husband, Lyle; and her son, Marvin.
A celebration of life will be held on September 11 at 1:00 at General’s Park, Shelter 2; 1561 N.
Quentin St. in Aurora, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Hospice of Laramie, 1754 Centennial Dr, Laramie
WY, 82070.

Rosie was one of the kindest, most carrying mothers I knew. She raised a wonderful daughter Shari, one of my best friend with so much love. Steve and Marvin were two very kind and respectful sons also. We go back all the way to kindergarten. I spent a lot of time in the Huscher home. I remember her with Shari father Lyle and thinking to myself how much they loved one another. I have so many fond memories with the Huscher family. I was blessed to grow up around them. Sincerely Cindy Cantrell and family
