George Lopez, born August 1, 1953 to John and Francis Lopez, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017. He fought a long and courageous battle with illness for many years. He is now at eternal peace.
George is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Joan DeHerrera, Lawrence DeHerrera, Johnny Lopez, Ralph Lopez and Mary Ann Lopez.
George is survived by his sisters, Sheila Trujillo and Nancy Lopez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by niece and nephew, Marlena Lopez-Suazo and Steve Lopez who were like his own children.
Honorary pallbearers will be Juano Trujillo, Larry DeHerrera, Brian Lopez, Aaron DeHerrera, Johnny Lopez Jr., Auggie Suazo, Greg Gillett and Brian Baxter.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home with The Reverend Father Dave Erickson, celebrant. A reception will be held at the Lincoln Community Center immediately following.

Rest in peace my friend and neighbor growing up. I'll remember the many laughs and good times I had with you and your brothers and sisters.
