Violet McLaughlin, 48, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away July 2, 2016. She was born September 10, 1967, in Laramie, Wyoming to Dushan and Zorka Radich. Violet was a graduate of the University of Wyoming where she received a B.A. in Elementary Education focusing on Early Childhood. She married Harvey O. McLaughlin on July 14, 1995 in Cheyenne, Wyoming and was married for 21 years. Violet was a teacher and taught Pre-K at Oklahoma Public Schools for 14 years and at Western Heights Public Schools for nine years. She loved teaching kids and helping them develop a strong learning foundation. She enjoyed traveling, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

Violet is preceded in death by her parents, Dushan and Zorka Radich and brothers-in-law Clair Finley and Mike McLaughlin.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey McLaughlin and son, Chris McLaughlin, both of Moore, Oklahoma; brothers, Alex Radich and Charlie Radich, both of Cheyenne, Wyoming; numerous cousins; brother-in-law Ralph Dickman of Penrose, Colorado; sisters-in-law Sharon Dickman of Penrose, Colorado; Holly Finley of Fort Collins, Colorado; brother-in-law Steve McLaughlin of Rolla, Missouri; sisters-in-law Sue Lindberg of Rolla, Missouri; Denise McLaughlin of Rohnert Park, California; Rose McLaughlin of Grain Valley, Missouri; Beth Radich of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Moyra McLaughlin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; as well as 14 nieces and nephews, and numerous close friends.

A church service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Holy Ascension Orthodox Christian Church in Norman, Oklahoma, Fr. Jeremy Davis will officiate. Interment will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie, Wyoming.
