“Teresita” “Tere” Perea Teresi passed away on August 7, 2026 in San Diego, California. She was born in Laramie, Wyoming on September 20, 1947. She attended Laramie schools graduating in 1967. She moved to Guam, where she continued her education, and while there, she met Todd Teresi while he was stationed in the Navy. They were united in marriage on October 15, 1987. In 1988, they moved to San Diego, California where she later earned her bachelor’s degree and then her master’s degree in 2003. She taught in elementary schools for 37 years before retiring.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Delia Mondragon and George Perea; an infant brother, her husband Todd Teresi and a special uncle Rudy Mondragon.
She is survived by her sisters Louisa (Oscar) Millan and Camerina Perea; her two special aunts; Lorie (CC) Brown- who was like a sister; and Aunt Judi Mondragon; a close niece Leticia Millan Bishop, a great-nephew Zachariah Atkinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at St. Paul’s Newman Center on Thursday, September 10th at 10:30 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service at St. Paul’s Newman Center fellowship hall.
