Sharon Patricia Clifton

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Patricia Clifton on August 8th of 2025.

Sharon was born September 26, 1942, in Hollywood, CA, to Frances F. and Michael J. Pawl.  She graduated from Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, CA. in 1960.  She then attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA, where she met and married her lifelong partner and loving husband, Richard (Dick) Clifton.  She was a Marine wife for ten years, settling in El Toro, CA and raising two wonderful and beautiful daughters.  Her family moved to Greeley, CO. in 1971 where she cherished being a Weld County Master Gardner and setting up the Farmer’s Market; dirt under her nails was not a problem.  In a leap of faith, she joined her husband in building the home of their dreams in the country where she raised horses and grew a huge garden.  After retirement, she joined her husband on another adventure moving to Centennial, WY, in 1998, where she quickly became involved in the local library, museum and social club.  Quilting and reading were her passions.

Sharon was predeceased by her precious daughter, Heather Clifton, in June of 2025.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, daughter Jessie Clifton of Loveland, CO, granddaughter Josie and her husband Jeff Bjorklund of Loveland, CO, sister, and best friend, Cathy Herr of Pueblo, CO, her very good friend Verneine Gebbie of Severance CO, and many other friends, local and afar.

Sharon requested no services but ask, in leu of flowers, a donation be made to the wonderful caregivers of Hospice of Laramie.
