Dear Ones, My heart is breaking for all of you. It is breaking because we have lost the sweet, earnest little boy in grade school, and the spirited, sensitive young boy in Jr. High and High School. Shane always kept in touch to let me know how he was, and what he was doing. Some calls were full of joy, and many were filled with the pain that he felt about so many things. I had such high hopes for him, and felt so proud when he called and said he had graduated from UW. Above all, he loved you, his family. He told me about each one of you and your children. Pam, he wanted nothing more than for you to be pleased with him, and he loved you deeply. I treasure the memories that I have of him learning to snowboard and never giving up.... His long discussions with so many questions.....His beautiful face when he laughed. He was a good boy and I loved him. Thank you for sharing him with me.

My heart aches for the family to lose, after just 34 short years, your precious loved one, Shane, way too young, way too soon. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you a beautiful scripture where Jesus makes us a wonderful promise at John 5:28, which says: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." . Our heavenly father promises us to do away with man's worst enemy, death at Rev. 21: 3,4 which reads: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say, "Look! "The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them." "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. Also, for more Bible based comfort visit (www.jw.org search "comfort" or "why we die") It has provided me with many more scriptures that have given me comfort, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." May these promises give you hope, comfort and peace in your time of grief. . I offer my sincere condolences to the family.

I've known Shane since 7th grade, and have called him a friend since 9th grade. He was a fixture in my life and my experiences. I always appreciated his wit and opinion, how strong his personal convictions were, and how hard he worked when he found something he was passionate about. I was so proud when he finished college. Shane had so much potential, and I am sad he will not be able to reach that point. I know he touched the lives of many different people, and I know he will be missed.
