There are lives that can be listed… and there are lives that must be felt.
Patricia Lowham’s life was not built on moments that demanded attention—but on thousands of moments that gave it.
She passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving behind not just a family—but a feeling.
She was a wife of 63 years to Charles Lowham. A mother to Casey and Guy. A grandmother. A great-grandmother. But those titles, as meaningful as they are, don’t quite explain who she was.
Because Pat didn’t just love people—she carried them.
In quiet ways.
In meals that said what words didn’t. In hands that stitched warmth into something you could hold. In cheers from the couch during games that felt like they mattered—because you mattered.
She found joy in the simple things—gardens that grew under her care, yarn that became something meaningful, puzzles that mirrored her patience with life itself.
But more than anything… she was a person of service.
Not the kind that seeks recognition—but the kind that becomes someone else’s foundation.
She made people feel safe. Welcome. Important.
And somehow… she did it for more than just her own family.
Through friendships that lasted decades, through her love for community, and through the many young men she embraced as her own, she became something rare—
A second mother. A steady presence. A place to land.
Her love didn’t stop with her children.
It expanded.
It echoed.
It became part of the people she raised, and the people they would go on to love.
That is her legacy.
Not something you point to—but something you feel… in the way her family shows up for each other, in the way love continues where she left off.
She is survived by her husband Charles, her sons Casey and Guy, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and countless others who were lucky enough to be loved by her.
There is no clean way to summarize a life like hers.
Because the truth is—she didn’t just live a life worth remembering.
She lived a life that keeps showing up… even now.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Patricia’s name to Hospice of Laramie.
A Celebration of Patricia’s Life will be held from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30th at the Black Fox on Welsh.

Mr. Lowham, Casey and Guy, I am so sorry to hear about Mrs Lowham’s passing. I have very fond memories of her and she always treated me just like another son. I will never forget her baked apples she would serve us everytime we came over to the house. Prayers and love from The Skinner’s.
My dear Pat, you will forever be in my heart. What started out as a job developed into a wonderful friendship. The years I spent as your housekeeper developed into so much more. Our conversations over coffee in the treehouse were the best. You were so kind, generous and loving. We shared stories, you shared recipies and walked beside me when I lost my Mom. You showed me what it meant to be a wife, mother and Grandmoth er. When you gave me the blanket you made for my first Granddaughter, I cried and you cried. You told me the babies would change my life. You were so right. I could go on, but, some of the memories I will hold sacred and close to my heart. ....Thank you for being my friend! You were one of a kind, sweet Pat!

What a woman! I always loved seeing Pat. I think of her with The Rockies, and Christmas lights to the max, being in the woods. She was such a special friend to Martha. When I worked for Dr Jenkins at GCBJ we would call the shop and Pat would call Martha on the radio and relay the message. I know the empty spot that losing your Mom makes. Carry on her wonderful legacy. I’ll always remember her and I’m so very sorry for this massive loss.

Mrs. L. always was putting others before herself. Her smile and sincere interest in others resonated with me. When you are away at college, as I was in Laramie, she was that nurturing second mother who provided words of advice, comfort, and listening. I am grateful and blessed to have had Pat in my life.
