Norma Genevieve Breazeale

Norma Genevieve Breazeale, 91, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.

Norma was born in Texas County, Missouri to Grace and Leo Woolsey.  She was the seventh daughter of 10 children, was raised on a local farm and educated through country schools.  Moving to Wyoming after high school, she met her future husband Vern Breazeale at a church picnic in Cheyenne, exchanging wedding vows on August 15, 1951 in Loveland, Colorado.  They made their home in Laramie raising four daughters Bonnie Noel, Becky Bean, Bobbie Bobango and Beth Breazeale.  During those years of raising kids she always had a side hustle to get through rough times. Norma was involved with many local and national boards (charities), she served on the Guardian Council of Job’s Daughters, participated in Eastern Star and Charter Member of Soroptimist Club for business women.  She and her husband Vern started a truck company and storage units after he retired from the Laramie Police Department.  They worked as partners in everything they did.

She loved travel adventures, good food, and her cabin in the Snowy Range Mountains.  She was prone to extravagant Christmas lights, big family dinners, befriending pets and bonding with toddlers.  She was generous to a fault, often loaning time, gifts and money that would never be repaid.  Norma will be remembered by her zest for life, devotion to family, her strong and unique personality, keen sense of humor and most of all, her ability to persevere through the many challenges she’s faced in her life.   Our precious Momma has reunited with our father, Vern, who preceded her in death in 2010.  May you be at peace, you will be missed by many.

We would like to recognize the people who were there to share the last few years of her life, always showing up for birthdays, holidays and just to stop in to visit to make her day.   Norma is survived by 4 daughters, their spouses, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the First Christian Church. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607 or  https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/give
