
Nancy Jean Horigan of Laramie, Wyoming passed away at the age of 69 on February 10th, 2026. She was the youngest daughter of Joan Horigan and James Horigan and had a brother (Daniel Horigan) and sister (Susan Horigan). She was married to Terry Datz and had two sons (Jonathan Datz and Sean Datz) and one daughter (Lauren Datz).
Nancy was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and lived in various parts of the world including London, Texas, New York, Colorado and Wyoming. She attended the University of Denver in 1974 where she received her bachelor’s degree in mass communications. She excelled at customer service and client retention so well that she was recognized and awarded multiple times for her performance.
Over the years Nancy enjoyed visits to both Frisco, CO and Vail, CO with her family. She also owned several pets including several cats and a small Dachshund dog she named Virgil.
In her later years she was cared for by her primary caregiver and son Sean Datz and her oldest son Jonathan Datz. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and re-selling items online and loved music, movies and tv shows from the 70’s and 80’s.
Nancy was always in a bright spirit even through life’s most difficult and cruel challenges. She was a very warm, generous and loving person, always giving people the benefit of doubt. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sons Jonathan Datz and Sean Datz, her daughter Lauren Datz, her sister Susan Horigan, her ex-husband Terry Datz and her two pet cats Bernie and Corey.


Nancy was a great sister who was very caring and generous. Despite her health problems, she did her best to be sure everyone's birthdays and holidays were celebrated. I will greatly miss talking with her and sharing our family memories. She will be greatly missed.
Nancy was a wonderful mother, and loved her two sons and daughter. She will be always remember for her kindness, generosity and care and love for family members. She will be missed by us all.
My Mom will be missed by everyone in the family. She was a great and generous person. I love you and miss you, Mom!
