Michael W. Bonner

Michael W. Bonner, 71, of Mesa, AZ passed Monday,  April 1, 2024 at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa. Mike was born October 3, 1952 in Lusk, WY to Joe and Ellen Bonner. He grew up in Laramie, WY attending schools there, graduating from Laramie High School in 1971.

Mike married LeaAnn Hank November 21, 1982. He and LeaAnn along with daughter Sacha started their life together in Lusk. Son Adam joined the family April 1, 1984. They lived many places in southeastern WY before finding their forever home in Mesa AZ.

His love of cars steered his career path into automotive restoration with his son Adam for many years.

He is preceeded in death by his parents Joe and Ellen Bonner, infant brother Jackie Ray, brothers Jim and Bernard, sisters in law Barbara Bonner and Doris Bonner. 

Leaving behind his wife LeaAnn, children Sacha Johnson of Mesa,  Adam Bonner and Katie of Queen Valley AZ, his 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with one on the way. He is also survived by 3 siblings, sister Jo (Rick) Anderson of Brighton IA, brother Steve Bonner of Elk Mountain, WY and sister Dixie (Jim) Schuler of Tucson, AZ. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Steve, Jo, Dixie, LeaAnne and Mike’s entire family, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Mike and the rest of his family live on our block and we were always playing sports and having fun together!!!! Mike was a good man and will be missed!!!!!

    Lea Ann and family, met Mike thru Dave Fields, we all enjoyed our love of cars together. He had such a happy smile and attitude always. What a character. Sorry for your loss.
