Michael A. Abraham

Michael A. Abraham died peacefully in his home, in the arms of his loving wife, listening to his favorite song, on Monday, February 24, 2025. Michael was a kind and gentle man of integrity whose life was taken too soon by multiple sclerosis.

Family was the most important thing to Michael, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his wife and children camping, hiking, and playing in the Snowy Range and in Vedauwoo. His was a creative soul of many talents and passions. He wrote poetry, enjoyed cooking, and found joy in the alchemy of traditional soap making. He was truly a good, decent, and loving man who fiercely believed in equality.

Michael leaves behind so many who loved him: his wife of 28 years, best friend, and soul mate Erin; their three children Brendan (Janissa), Elizabeth (Eris), and Adrian; granddaughter Gwendolyn; his mother-in-law Brenda, as well as so many friends Michael cherished as extensions of his chosen family. Also missing him are his three canine friends Loki, Odin, and Thor, who guarded him well in his last days.

A celebration of life will be held this summer in the place Michael and Erin renewed their vows. Details will be shared with friends and family privately.

His family wishes to extend the greatest thanks to the ER and Med/Surge teams at Ivinson Hospital, the members of the LFD and EMS, and the team at Hospice of Laramie – thank you for treating him with such care, compassion, and dignity.
