Marshall Eugene May, 80, of Laramie, passed away on August 9, 2026 in Laramie. He was born in Laramie on February 22, 1946 to James and Ellen (Morrison) May.
He was a member of Laramie Elks Lodge #582.
Marshall is survived by his son, Kevin (Melissa) May of Erie, CO; his step daughter, December Lynd of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Jaden May, Michael Mathes, and Maisie Mathes.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Marshall’s Life will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Laramie Elks Lodge #582 North Lounge, 103 South 2nd Street.
My friend your smiling face and and deep discussions will be deeply missed. We have lossed a true bright spot but the happy memories are many.

Kevin Im so sorry for your loss.. I have never met you but your dad talked an awful alot about you and the grandkids.. He was a very special person to me. Over the years we built a bond. Marshall was a friend but treated me like his own.. He is extremely missed.. until we meet again my sweet sweet friend..
Sending my Condolences! Mr.May was a wonderful teacher and mentor. He was always my favorite substitute teacher and many students of his would say the same. As kids we would hope and pray he would be our sub, because he would always making learning fun. Mr. May was always so respectful and nice to be around. His laugh could fill the room no matter where he was at and his story’s would leave you knowing he had a wonderful life and cared for so many. He will be dearly missed!
Mr. May was one of my daughter's favorite substitute teachers at LHS. He was a kind man and will be missed.

Mr. May was a teacher at Byers Jr. Hight School in Denver, CO when me and my wife both attended. I reconnected with him when he returned to Laramie shortly before I returned to Denver. We both remembered him as a good and nice teacher. Small world. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
