Marion (Betty) Elizabeth Jablin (Busch)

Marion (Betty) Elizabeth Jablin (Busch) was born on December 31st, 1940 in Worland, Wyoming, and passed away on March 5th, 2024 at the age of 83.

She was raised in Worland, helping her parents work the farm along with her brothers. She attended Worland schools and graduated from Worland High in 1959.   She then attended the University of Wyoming, majoring in medical technology.  While attending UW, she met the love of her life, Michael (Mike) Jablin.  They were married on June 14th, 1964, in Worland, Wyoming.

After working in Cheyenne, WY, Green River, WY, and the Ann Arbor, MI area, Betty and Mike moved to Billings, MT in 1970.  She worked as a Medical Technologist at Saint Vincent’s Hospital from 1976 to 2006, making lifelong friends among her co-workers.  Betty was a devoted mother, and she and Mike raised their sons in Billings where she could be close to her extended family in northern Wyoming.  She loved to spend time at the family cabin in the East Rosebud valley, especially with her grandchildren.  One of her favorite things was hosting friends and family at the cabin and cooking incredible amounts of food.  She was also devoted to her pets, spending hours walking the dogs and doting on her cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth (Batt) Busch, and her brothers George, Harold, Bob, and Jerry.  She is survived by her son Michael Jr., of Austin, Texas, son Mark (Diahann) of Laramie, Wyoming, Mark and Diahann’s children Kate, Eli, and Madie Jablin, and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

At Betty’s request, a memorial service will be planned for this summer at the family cabin in Montana.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Laramie at https://hospiceoflaramie.org/donations-please/
