Lynnette Hoover, 91, of Laramie passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, February 15, 2026. She was born July 20, 1934 to Delbert and Alice Teeter in Ogden, Utah.
She graduated from Ogden High School in 1952 and married Herb Hoover in May 1954. She had one child in July 1955. She saw herself as a home maker and she excelled at that. She traveled with Herb to his duty stations and his different jobs throughout the west, finally landing in Laramie in 1961. Laramie was their home base for the remainder of their lives.
Lynnette was a pleasant soul who was always happy to see friends and make new ones. She enjoyed playing golf in the summer and skiing in the winter. She was active in the community, becoming a member of the women’s auxiliary of the Jaycees, the Elks and was also a member of the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed international travel and traveled to England and Ireland multiple times. She loved to collect English China teacups and used them for every cup of tea she had at dinner. They became snowbirds and traveled to Arizona for 10 happy years. When moving a household twice a year became to much they stayed in Laramie and lived their remainder of their lives.
She is preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
Lynnette is survived by her son, Craig; her sister, Nadine (Glen) Jensen; and her nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
