Laddie Lentz

Laddie Lentz passed away June 30, 2023 in Laramie, WY. He was born January 21, 1976 in Laramie to Smiley and Connie Lentz (Buckendorf).
He attended LHS and International Academy of Hair Design.
He was raised in Laramie on the family ranch and spent his days learning about building cars. He loved
anything on wheels, especially if it was fast. He started riding at the age of four and loved being on dirt bikes. He was an artist first and foremost, but his talents were unending. He accomplished anything he put his mind to. He loved being in the shop, especially with his dad. Laddie finally found his true passion in teaching. He was a phenomenal teacher and believed his students are his legacy. He was proud of each of them. One of Laddie’s happiest times was reconnecting with his future wife, Cortni, in 1998. They were married in 2002. With marriage came a son, Chace, who he adored, loved and was incredibly proud of.
Laddie was devoted to his wife, son, family and friends, and pets, especially his Mastiff’s.
He was loving, generous to a fault, funny and had the biggest heart.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; mother-in-law and father-in-law; uncles, beloved pets, and many lost cars and motorcycles to the salvage yard.
He is survived by his wife, Cortni; son, Chace Rickard (Ariel Romero); dad, Smiley Lentz (Naomi Nottage),
mom, Connie Parker (Dave) three step-brothers and their wives; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends he called family.
Laddie may no longer be with us here in this world, but he is still with us in our hearts. Remember his laugh, his smile, and the giant heart we all knew he had.
Just Remember!
I SEE YOU!
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Laramie Animal Welfare Society, 1104 S 2nd St Laramie, WY 82070 and/or to Robbie’s House 312 E Custer St. Laramie, WY 82070

Cortni and family, Words can not begin to express my sorrow over the loss of such a wonderful individual! Laddie was an extraordinary person, with so much to offer the world. His presence and smile lit up a room and his kindness touched so many. He was gentle soul who loved unconditionally and believed that others should do the same! He showed courage when others could not and carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. Laddie, thank you for the talks we had, the ideas we shared and giving me the best insights to humanity and humility. Most of all thank you for sharing Cortni with me! I love you to kid, just a moment in time right? I'm gonna miss you until then, but I got ya covered. Jess and Noah

Until we meet again. Celebrate and rejoice every breath and take forward the presence of your passions as a piece of you was left in each of us. Thank you for those memories.

Cortni, Smiley, and Connie. When I heard of Lads passing, I didn’t want to believe it was true. I’ve wanted to reach out because Lad and Cortni were a couple of our best and closest friends. We lost touch for the last couple years, often wondering why but never wanting to bother, but now wish we had. This is so gut wrenching and the world is at a loss of one of the truest and most genuine people we know. Always had a bright big smile for everyone, always wiser beyond his years and always made friends with everyone, even the guy he spit hamburger on all those years ago (this is a story between the four of us). We will forever miss you and will think of you often. Our hearts and prayers are with you all and know this will be such a struggle for you all, he surely was one of a kind. May you rest in peace friend, until we see you again at that race track in the sky!! Nadine, Brian, Logan and Memphis

I have no words to speak of that can remotely express the sorrow this news brings to me. We weren't best friends but like many people from laramie we were great friends. We could lose track of each other for months or years and catch up in an instant. You were an amazing human. All your interests, your humor, the relationship you had with your dad, friends, hell everyone. I dont think you ever met someone you couldn't get along with. My heart goes out to the family. Prayers and all the things folks say but mostly.. I will cry some tears for you Laddie.. damn.. just..to soon..to damn soon.
