Kim Bartlett, 63, passed away on August 8 2025 in Rapid City SD after a long battle with COPD and other health issues.
Kim was the Daughter of Ivan Haugen and Barbra Haugen, Sister to Wade Haugen, Matt Haugen, and Kelly Martinez, Wife of Rick Bartlett I, Mother of 4 Children: Ricky Bartlett II, Brandi Crouse, Rebecca Tarrant, and Don Bartlett, and Grand Mother to Xya Elmore, Brandon Elmore, Ricky Bartlett III, Triston Bartlett, Kristian Tarrant, Beriah Tarrant, Elizabeth Tarrant, Jonathan Tarrant II, Heaven Munoz, Angel Munoz, Asuna Dempsey, Caleb Wilson, and Madison Toews, and Great Grandmother to Kristen Simons. We must also include those she loved like her children Lisa Bartlett, Jonathan Tarrant I, and O’Wayne and Nikki Dempsey.
Kim was born in Laramie Wyoming and loved being with her family and friends, camping, fishing, dancing, She was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos, rodeo, and stock car racing. She traveled when she could but mostly preferred to be home.
Kim lived most of her life in South East Wyoming, mostly Cheyenne and Laramie areas. She moved to Newell SD in 2014, and then to Sturgis SD in 2021.
Funeral Services will be on Aug 16th at 10:00am on at the Dakota Life Christian Center.
I was so sorry to hear of Kim’s passing. My condolences to her family. She was a very sweet person and I really enjoyed being around her. She had a heart of gold.. R.I.P.
