Kevin Paul Noel was born on June 14, 1990. He spent his first year with a foster family in Laramie. At 15 months old, he came to live with the Noel family, who officially adopted him at the age of two. He joined sisters Kelsey and Andrea and brother Chad, becoming a cherished part of a family that loved him deeply.

Kevin’s happiness was contagious. He was known for his remarkable impression of Elvis Presley, complete with hip moves and a curled lip. His carefree spirit, quick wit, and love of mischief brought laughter to those around him. He also had a way of mystifying his parents with floods, mud, and other calamities, leaving behind stories the family will remember and retell for years to come.

Much to his dad’s consternation, Kevin loved building things with any tools or materials he could find. His dad immediately recognized the frame of his elk-hunting tent when he spotted it in the creek behind the house—reconfigured as an irrigation system. Even when a project caused a little trouble, it showed Kevin’s creativity, curiosity, and determination to make something work.

From an early age, Kevin had a gift for operating just about any piece of equipment. More than once, the sound of a power saw or lawn mower starting up sent the family scrambling toward the garage. He went on to work with heavy equipment for much of his life, including in the oil field and construction. Later, he owned Poorboyz Polishing, a business where he refurbished and polished metal.

Kevin made friends easily. His self-deprecating humor, generous spirit, and willingness to join in almost any shenanigan made people feel at ease. He filled his life with experiences and stories that many could only imagine.

 Two years ago, an act of violence left Kevin with a traumatic brain injury and partial paralysis. Through sheer determination, he learned to talk, walk, eat, and live a full life again. His sudden death brought an end to a remarkable recovery, but it cannot erase the progress he made or the inspiration he gave to those around him.

Kevin’s faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior gives his family and friends the assurance that they will meet again one day in Heaven. His laughter, determination, and the memories he created will remain with all who loved him.

Kevin leaves behind his parents, Jim and Bonnie Noel; sisters Kelsey Noel and Andrea (Joel) Senior; nephew Ryder (Lottie) Senior; nieces Reese Senior and Angi (Sage) Rawlins; and his biological brother, Brian French. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chad; nephew, Kelan; and grandparents Charlie and Geri Noel and Vern and Norma Breazeale.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30th at First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin’s name to Donate Life.
