Jessica Warpness

Jessica Warpness, 45, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Jessica built her life around family, love, and kindness. She was the heart of her home, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put the needs of her loved ones before her own. Her laughter could fill a room, and her steady presence was a source of comfort to everyone who knew her.

She loved the simple pleasures in life, finding peace in camping trips under the stars and joy at the beach. Above all, her greatest pride was her family. She found happiness in gatherings with loved ones, adventures outdoors, and time spent with her granddaughters. She will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.

She is survived by her loving husband, Cory Warpness; her son, Layne Warpness; her stepdaughter, Shadow Warpness (Chris); her twin granddaughters, Karson and Skylar; her sisters, Constance Swets (Rod) of Maplewood, MN, and Deborah Dietz (Ralph) of Greensburg, PA; along with her nephew, nieces, extended family, and numerous friends.

Jessica is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Burkley; her brothers, Tom and Michael; and her sister, Christine.

A celebration of Jessica’s life will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Montgomery Stryker in Laramie, WY, where family and friends will gather to share stories, honor her memory, and carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.

Jessica’s life was a beautiful example of love, family, and resilience. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on through the lives she touched.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I've only met you all once, but could easily feel all of the love and devotion you shared!! I'm praying for God's peace, comfort, and promises to be yours during this time.

Jessica was someone you always looked forward to seeing. I'll cherish always our hours long Friday and Saturday night random calls, and our extensive random texts that always ended up making me smile. She lived her life fearlessly, trying new things, and just doing what she had to do, no matter how unpleasant. And she loved to have fun. She loved her family and her son Layne, was the apple of her eye. She is missed but her memory will live on in all the lives and things she touched. My condolences to Cory, Layne, and Shadow.
