I spent many a weekend XC skiing with Jim back in the late 70s and early 80s here in Laramie. During the winter of '79 we were broke college students and often spent Saturday nights drinking whatever beer was on sale, watching Saturday Night Live, and listening to good music. I remember him having a dog named Chewbaca who would sit by the speaker and "sing along" with Emmylou Harris. I left Laramie in 1983 and recently retired here. I had no idea that Jim was still in town.
I have known Jim for the better part of 60 years. I have enjoyed his friendship as well as the many mischievous adventures in which shared. He was a good friend and he will be greatly missed. I wish you well in your next adventure and the path you follow.
I worked with Jim and we used to talk and talk about music and records.I liked Jim a lot. Good guy!!
I too enjoyed listening to good ole’ rock music with Jim decades ago…
