Toni Speiser-Hall, 96, of Laramie, Wyoming, died peacefully Saturday, January 18, 2025, at home with loving sons Dennis and Glenn Speiser at her side. Toni was born Fredona Martha Wallen July 4, 1928, in Fort Jennings, Ohio, to August and Philomena Wallen. She was the youngest of eight children. She graduated in 1946, from Defiance High School, Defiance, Ohio. June 14, 1950, she married Richard T. Speiser in Napoleon, Ohio. To this marriage five children were born, Glenn, David, Dennis, Diane, and Nick. In the fall of 1964, Toni and Richard moved the family to Laramie, Wyoming where they opened a souvenir shop. Toni’s greatest love was her family. Her hobby was her work, where she was known as the little white-haired lady at the check-out counter in Buttrey’s/Ridley’s grocery store. She loved to visit and banter with customers that waited in her line to check out. She was known and loved by many in the Laramie community. She was in her late ‘80’s when she finally retired. In 1985 she married Kenneth Hall in Laramie. Toni was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers and three sisters, husband Richard Speiser and second husband Kenneth Hall. She is survived by children Glenn Speiser (Cathie Jo), David “Pep” Speiser (Kathy), Dennis Speiser, Diane Cady (Ben), Nick Speiser (Cindy); 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by her family and the many people whom she touched in the Laramie community. A private family celebration of her long life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, she would be pleased if you donate to your favorite charity

I met Tony in the 70s as I was acquainted with Diane and nick. I would throw baloney at her in butteries and Ridley’s, of course she threw it back. My condolences to the family. She is at gods rightful hand now.
Toni was one of the best parts of working at Albertsons, she was unapologetically who she was and I absolutely loved that about her. She will be missed by many.
Toni was such a very sweet soul. Have known her for many years and worked with her at the Brown and Gold for a brief period of time. When I worked with Molly Wood there. Have missed her at the store for quiet a while! She is one of those people that make this world a better place!
Toni was a sweetie pie. When I waited in line it would be in hers for sure. She deserved the world. Honor to have known her .
Such fond memories of hitching up at The Tomahawk Shop” on a warm summers day where a bottle of cold pop (always 10 cents) and a warm smile from Mrs Speiser awaited. She always had time for rowdy kids on horseback and boundless kindness to strangers as well.
Our deepest sympathy to you all at this time. We loved going to the supermarket and checking out through Toni. She was always entertaining and would lift your spirits with her conversation and her opinions. If you spoke to her once, she would remember you and look forward to speaking with the next time you were at the store. You are in our thoughts and we are very sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear this. Worked with her for years. RIP
I'm so sorry to her about Toni's passing. I met Toni way back in about 1975 when I started working at Scotti's, and then was able to reconnect with her when I moved back to Laramie in 2014. She was an integral part of the Laramie community and will certainly be missed! My heartfelt condolences to Toni's family. May she rest in peace.
What a ray of sunshine! She was the first person I met when I moved the Laramie in August of 1979. Toni was so helpful and kind. Love this lady!

Any trip to the grocery store was a treat when Toni checked you out! Her broad smile, impish personality and vitality were unparalleled. Miche Rigoni-Roth
