Corte Lee Rasmussen

Corte Lee Rasmussen died June 3 in Lingle, WY.  He was born on March 21, 1943, to Leone (Stiteler) Rasmussen and Edwin John Rasmussen in Laramie, WY.  He graduated from Laramie High school (1961) and attended the University of Wyoming until joining the U.S. Air Force.  He married Sandra (Sandy) Johnson Browning in 1979, in Casper, WY.  They moved to Lingle in 1991 where Corte owned and operated a Dollar Store in Torrington, and eventually worked for and retired from KN Energy.   

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Ronald Rogers, wife Sandy, brother Dal and sister-in-law Linda Rasmussen.  Survivors include his brothers Dean Rasmussen and Rodney Rogers, sister-in-law Judy Atencio (Bill Atencio), niece Keri Atencio Garth and family, nephew Ryan Atencio and family, his aunt Betty Baker, and numerous cousins and friends. 

He will be remembered at a graveside service in Laramie, on Tuesday, August 1, at 11:00 a.m., Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie, followed by a reception.

    Corte was always such a handsome and nice man. We were pen pals my senior year of high school when he was in the service. My condolences to all of his family. He will be missed!
