In Loving Memory of William Lee Newcomb

William Lee Newcomb, age 80, of Laramie, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026.

Bill was born on December 2, 1945, in Centralia, Illinois, to Eddie and Mary Rose Newcomb. He was the oldest of four siblings.

Bill proudly served in the United States Army and spent much of his life serving others. He was a volunteer firefighter and EMT, worked as a security guard, and was employed by Safeway for more than 30 years.

Bill had a love for the simple things in life. He enjoyed smoking his pipe, listening to oldies music, and spending time with his beloved 1931 Ford. He also rarely went without a cat by his side, as his kitty companions were a special part of his life.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Mary Rose Newcomb and his wife Clydene Newcomb.

He is survived by his sisters, Rose Marie McCormick, Betty Blazek, and Margret Muir; his children, Kimberly Roeper and William Newcomb Jr.; his grandchildren, Rachael Price-Glunz, Michelle Roeper, Talianne Newcomb, and Everleigh Newcomb; his great-grandchildren, Cecilia “CeCe” Price-Glunz and Bonniebelle “Bonnie” Price-Glunz; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will never be forgotten.

A small memorial service will be held on October 16th at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Details will be shared with family and friends.
