Wanetta Wanda (Bean) Lester

Wanetta Wanda (Bean) Lester, 95 of Cheyenne, WY passed away Monday April 24, 2023. She was born October 18, 1927 in Marion Township, Davis County, Iowa to Charles Walter and Dalphia Lucy (Hoover) Bean. She was married to William Wesley Lester on January 12, 1948 in Bloomfield, Davis County, Iowa and with this union, three children were born: Wanda Ilene (Lester) (Westerman) Pennell of Phoenix, AZ, Orie William Lester of Cheyenne, WY and Dennis Gale Lester of Laramie, WY.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Pennell; and her sons, Orie (Cherri) Lester and Dennis (Larie) Lester; grandsons, Wesley Westerman, Zach Lester, Joshua Lester, Levi Lester, Christopher (Lester) Pohl, Dustin Lester; granddaughters, Justina (Westerman) Reilly and Kodie M. Lester; great grandsons, Dreu Miller, Robert Reilly, Wyatt Westerman, Riley Lester, Logan Lester and Joseph Lester; great granddaughters, Madison Westerman and Tianna Lester; one great great grandson, Chandler Levi Tucker; sisters, Deloris Leblanc of Prescott, AZ and her family and Barbara Ramlo of Olwein, Iowa and her family; half-sister, Sandra (Bean) Payne of West George, TX; half-brothers, Jimmy Bean and family of Marion, Iowa and Charles Bean of Ottumwa, Iowa.

Wanetta was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents Dalphia & Walter Bean; two sisters, Delpha Bean and Lorna Kay Hack; brothers Donald, Doren, Dyrus, Bernard, Richard, Loren (Bean) Ekquist; step-sister Sharlene (Simmons) Peck and step-brother, Heston Simmons.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Greenhill Cemetery. In leu of flowers memorial donations may be made to one’s charity of choice.

So sorry for your loss. I still remember my parents and yours getting together to play cards. They had a great time.

I remember years ago when we were neighbors on Sheridan Street in Laramie. My how time flies.
