Ronald “Ron” Dale Allen
Ron was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on October 16, 1956. He passed away from natural causes in Laramie, Wyoming on May 30, 2026. Ron was a quiet, peaceful man that enjoyed the outdoors and life in general. He took pride in whatever he did, whether it was running cross-country for Cheyenne East High School, or the job he retired from at the University of Wyoming, or the woodworking projects that he took on after work.
He was the second of three children born to Gaylord and Doris Allen. He was preceded in death by his mom Doris on May 16, 2001 and his brother-in-law Dave Collins. He is survived by his dad Gaylord Allen (Gay Carlson), his older brother Steve Allen (Sherree) and his younger sister Nancy Collins.
In continuation of his quiet nature, Ron had requested that there would not be a funeral service. He will be inurned at the Montgomery-Stryker Columbarium at Laramie’s Greenhill Cemetery.

I’m so sorry to hear Ron has passed. Yes he was a quiet man but we had some good conversations at WYO Hall my condolences to his family.

My deepest condolences. He was a kind and conscientious person that always had a smile for everyone in the halls of the Ag College. His work ethic and good nature has been missed since his retirement.

Ron always kept Wyo Hall in tip-top shape, and was friendly to everyone. I’m sorry for your loss.
