Rebecca Ann Harvell

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, Rebecca Ann Harvell passed away at Hospice of Laramie at the age of 73.

Becky was born in Arkansas on July 1, 1949, to Eunomice Markle and Dee “Whitey” Harvell in the Ozark Mountains in a cabin. She lived there until age 6, then grew up in Laramie.  She went to college for Liberal Art studies.  Becky then worked as a Clerk for the University of Wyoming.  

Her passion for rural living endured and she settled in Centennial where she stayed for more than 20 years.  She loved creative arts, puzzles, and books.  She loved to nurture and care for things.  She always saw value in people and things that others might miss.  She was benevolent and kind.

She is survived by her five children, JoAnn (Todd) Fournier, Daniel Mesa Jr., Michael (Kim) Langan, ReAnna April Mesa, Amber Blumenshine; brother, Tom Harvell of Lake Hattie, Laramie.   She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, Melanie (Andrew) Derry, Melinda Novak, Casandra Jensen, Nicholas Mesa, Zachariah Challgren, Chanler Ford, Hailey Cole, Marc Langan, Luke Langan, Lilee Langan, Anthony Cole, and Clara Cole, great grandchildren, Lucinda Derry, Logan Derry, and Matilda Novak.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Carl Burns, and sister, Judy Burns.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Laramie.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at Greenhill Cemetery.

To the family of Becky. Our most sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. We have known her for many years and had the pleasure of her being the maid of honor when we got married. May the great memories that she leaves with you all be that which helps you through your grieving.
