Paula Arlene Grissom

Paula Arlene Grissom, 76, of Laramie, passed away peacefully Friday, November 17, 2023 at Cottonwood Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Paula Arlene Grissom was truly a remarkable person, loved by so many. Born on December 31, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Murray and Charlene J. (Ammons) Erlich, Paula brought warmth and love into the lives of everyone she knew; she enjoyed music and loved to sing. She never met a stranger, she was able to strike up a conversation no matter where she went. She was a friend to everyone.

On March 16, 1968, Paula married the love of her life, William D. Grissom. Together, they raised their children, Charles and Paula, with boundless love and care. Paula’s devotion to her family was unwavering, and her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds.

Paula was not only a dedicated mother and grandmother, but she was also a beloved sister, aunt, and friend. Her kind heart, infectious smile, and compassionate nature touched the lives of many. Paula’s spirit will forever live on in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her incredible family, Paula leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. Her grandchildren, including Michael, Charles Junior, Carolynn Faith, Olivia, and Andrew, were the apple of her eye, bringing her immeasurable joy.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents Murray and Charlene, her husband William, and her sisters Ilona and Jeanette. She is survived by her loving children, Charles (Carrie), Paula (Kevin); sister Sharon; grandchildren Michael, Charles Junior (Katie), Carolynn Faith, Olivia, and Andrew; and many nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Greenhill Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:30 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.

I loved Paula! I took care of her as a home health nurse and was thrilled to see her every week! She was a favorite of mine!!
