
Mary Ann Bivens, 82, of Concordia, KS (previously Laramie, WY, passed away on January 24, 2026, at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, KS. She was born on December 25, 1943 in Pine Bluffs, WY, to Anthony “Tony” and Zella (Bucher) Joyce.
Her family moved to Laramie in 1946, where she attended St. Laurence Elementary and later graduated from Laramie High School in 1962. Mary Ann was a member of the St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church in Laramie.
Mary Ann married Bill Bivens on Janaury 12, 1963 and to this union three children were born-Joyce Ann, Tony and Dustin. Mary Ann and Bill were later divorced. Mary Ann was a stay-at-home mom raising her three children. She later worked at Ivinson Memorial Hospital, Scott’s Gas Station, Echo Water and WyoTech where she reitred in 2008.
Mary Ann enjoyed attending events that her children and grandchildren were involved in, whether it was sports, plays, choir, or graduations. She loved working on geneology, puzzles, Quilt Magic and crafts. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time visiting with family, playing cards, Dominos or a mean game of Uno with the grandkids.
Mary Ann and her grandson Chase recently moved to Concordia, KS to be closer to her son, Tony and his family.
Mary Ann is survived by brothers, Jerome Joyce, Millikin, CO, Billy (Peggy) Joyce, Laramie, WY, sister Ellen (George) Searle, Cheyenne, WY, sons Tony (Heidi) Bivens, Courtland, KS, Dustin (Yvonne) Bivens, Fallon, NV, grandchildren Chase Bivens, Concordia, KS, Ty Bivens, Wichita, KS, Cody Bivens, Courtland, KS, Sierra Bivens, San Antonio, TX, and Justin (Nicole Tretta) Bivens, San Antonio, TX; sister-in-laws Betty Wittig, Wayne, NE; Karen Bivens, Sidney, NE; Roseanne Gilroy, Dalton, NE; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Zella Joyce, her daughter Joyce Ann Bivens, former spouse Bill Bivens, in-laws Linda Joyce, Ruben & Eileen Ogley, Dale & Karen Bivens, Ed Bivens, Al Wittig & Jim Gilroy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Joyce family home. Interment will be in Pine Bluffs Cemetery, Pine Bluffs, Wyoming at 2:30.

My condolances to the family. I never met her or any of the relatives or friends. My last name is JOYCE and my Grandfather came from County Cork Ireland , before I was born. JOYCE is an uncommon last name. And I jusr wanted to send prayers and Blessings to all of yoy. Maryclara Joyce, C lyde, Ks.
