Leo A. Lucero

Leopoldo (Leo) Anthony Lucero, 80, passed away March 21, 2022.  He was born July 1, 1941 in Mora, New Mexico to Bernabe and Paulita (Valdez) Lucero.  He married Katie Atencio on March 31, 1962.  Together they had 3 children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Natividad (Nat) Pando and Evangelina (Vangie)Lovato.  

He is survived by his loving wife, his children, Johnny Lucero, Lisa Lucero-Sloan, Tina (Jim) Seim, and Christopher (LoAna) Lucero, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, his brother, Frank (Elva) Lucero, and sister, Helen (John) Espinoza, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Leo spent most of his adult life in Laramie, owning his own business, Leo Concrete and Building.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting, time with friends and family.  His family was his greatest joy, his world.  He was a well-known, loved and established in the community—he never faltered to help anyone, he never met a stranger.

Services will be on Monday, March 28, with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Laramie, WY with Father Andrew Kinstetter.  Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery
