Kenneth “Kenny” Kim Griffith of Laramie passed away on August 22nd, 2025, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born in Laramie September 11th, 1962, to Joyce and Miller “Tuffy” Griffith of Medicine Bow. Kenny grew up on a ranch in Medicine Bow with his two brothers, Dennis and Miller “MK”, Jr. He graduated from Laramie High School in 1982.
Kenny was a resident of the Ark Regional Services for the last 40+ years. In 1996 Kenny was a delegate from Wyoming to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities Collaborative. Kenny met with Wyoming House and Senate Representatives while attending the conference in Washington D.C.
Kenny’s faith was important part of his life. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Laramie for many years and most recently attended the First Baptist Church of Laramie.
Kenny was loved for his smile and happy way of life. He enjoyed a good walk, steak dinner, bowling and a challenging game of Yahtzee! Everyone who met Kenny loved him because of his charming personality and zest for life.
His Celebration of Life will be on September 15, 2025, at 3:30pm at the Cooper Center for Creative Arts. Remembrances to Ark Regional Services.
He is survived by his brothers, Dennis Griffith (wife, Lisa) and Miller “MK” Griffith, Jr. (wife, Cheri). He was predeceased in death by his parents, Joyce Melius and Miller “Tuffy” Griffith. Sr.

I always enjoyed running into Kenny around Laramie. He was an unfailing ray of sunshine no matter what else was happening in my day. My sincere condolences to everyone who was part of his life. Rest in peace Kenny.

My favorite memories of Kenny came from teaching classes at the Ark. When I tried to be funny, Kenny would look at me very seriously and say, “Now, Melodyyy…” He’d tell me why I wasn’t funny, and then he’d break into a big grin and laugh. I’ll miss him.

Kenny was a light in my life. A game or five of Yahtzee every month for 17 years. Picking out gifts to be his Santa. Eating at Perkins. Teasing and laughing. He had the most profound sayings at times. One day when he was feeling down he looked at us and said “All the sugar has gone out of my tea.” I will miss him this week as his birthday passes by without him. Dennis and MK my heart goes out to you.

I will forever remember Kenny beating me (and everyone else at the table) at Yahtzee. And the great love I saw my dad and Uncle Miller bestow upon him. The Griffith boys had a special bond.

I have known Kenny since we were both 13 years old. He was like a brother to me. I will miss him sitting behind me and just recently beside me in church. I will definitely miss him calling me “Glenda Dear” when he needed something or something wasn’t right with the song numbers or anything else in the church. He is well loved and will be missed at the FBC.

Kenny never failed to recognize anyone from Medicine Bow. Loved chatting with him when I saw him in Laramie. He tried his best to keep us all out of trouble growing up, guess it sorta worked. Love to all the family.
