Judy Settlemire

Judy Gail Settlemire, 76, of Laramie, Wyoming, passed into God’s embrace on January 31st. She was at home surrounded by her loving husband of 53 years, Jack Settlemire, Jr., and their daughters Mia Settlemire and Leah Settlemire White. Judy was born June 2, 1945 in Columbia, Missouri.

As a member of the Laramie Valley Chapel, Judy loved being a part of the church family in discipleship and fellowship. She walked with our Lord, Jesus Christ, for many years and will be dearly missed and remembered by many within the community.

For seventeen years Judy worked at Safeway grocery in Laramie followed up by fourteen years with the Albany County School District, primarily working in special education. She was involved with the Albany County and Wyoming State 4-H programs teaching youngsters how to ride and care for horses. Judy loved her time with kids and felt she gained as much out of it as they did.

She was blessed with many God gifted talents; pencil drawings, sketches, sculptures, oil paintings and hand crafted arts. Most of all she loved creating beautiful items from silver and gold. Judy had an innate ability to see beauty and simplicity in artwork of all kinds. Her aptitude was honed with schooling and graduation from Casper College, The San Francisco School of Arts as well as the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

Judy had many titles over the years but none as cherished as being called TeeTee by her four grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Laramie Valley Chapel on March 5th at 11:00am.
