The Mountains have called him home.
Jerry Rabidue, extremely loved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, was called away on May 21, 2026, for his next great adventure.
He was an avid trapper, hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman. He was the family’s teacher, mentor, confidant, and supporter.
He worked hard at several careers as a lineman, mechanic, heavy equipment operator, business owner as well as serving on the board of directors at Carbon Power and Light for many years.
With quick wit, and his little grin, he could bring his family to see a lighter side for every situation. He was the all-time storyteller and loved to keep people entertained with his shenanigans, some true and others a little exaggerated.
Jerry was born September 28, 1941 (84) to Percy and Virginia Rabidue. He married the love of his life Carolyn Banks on June 25, 1961. Together they expanded their family with 4 daughters.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn. Daughters, Jodi (Ronny) Newkirk, Corri (Ramon J) Sandoval. Granddaughters Savannah (Jamie) Cowdin, Britani (Arael) McGuire, Shelby (Christopher) Mello, and Trinity (Jarek) Sandoval. Great Grandchildren Hadlee Cowdin, Bodhi McGuire, and Maverick McGuire. (He had to wait 74 years to finally have a couple little boys in the family, and he was thrilled.)
He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Virginia Rabidue, sister, Joanne Lemler, and his two daughters, Pegi Rabidue and Sherri Rabidue. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ivinson Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided. Their kindness and dedication brought comfort to him and to all who love him.
To the world he may have been one person, but to his family he was our Superman.
Per his request there will be no services.

I’m so sorry Carolyn and to the rest of your family. I remember the hunting trip we went on I think it was Jerry who shot the elk and Jerry and Ronnie went to some town that was close buy and Jerry said if the game warden comes by for me to tell him where I shot it i said ok. They left and sure enough here comes the game warden me and Carolyn went out side and either game warden asked me where I shot it and so smugly I said in the head. I didn’t that was the wrong answer he wanted to know what area it was shot in . I didn’t know where I was let alone where the elk had been. All ended well no body went to jail. The next day we went back to hunting. Jerry was so cool about it he never got mad or anything. I don’t think I ever heard Jerry ever raise his voice to anyone. I know it’s going to be hard for awhile but I know we serve a Ioveing God and we will be able to see him again.
