Janice Medbery Garrett

Janice Medbery Garrett, 70, of Laramie, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She was born June 12, 1950 in Sidney, Nebraska to Ray and Martina Medbery.

She was a loving wife of 50 years to James Garrett of Laramie. She is also survived by her children, Craig Garrett of California, Waylon Garrett of Arkansas, Kyle Garrett of Texas; her grandchildren, Taylor of Arkansas and Elliot of Texas; her brother Roy Medbery of Scottsbluff, NE; sisters, Elnora Culek of Kimball, NE, and Dorothy Medbery Smith of Nevada; her honorary children, Jason and Andrea Griess and Shaun and Melissa Helsber; and her honorary grandchildren, Morgan, Erin, Austin and Jordan Griess.

Jan was active in her church all of her life serving as a pianist and Sunday School Teacher.

She worked at the bank for awhile and retired from the University of Wyoming.

She loved to travel with her husband to various place. Her hobbies included, reading, painting, hiking, fishing, hunting and cooking.

She will be greatly missed.

No services will be scheduled at this time, cremation has taken place.

But celebrate my life
