James E. “JJ” Johnson

James E. ”JJ”  Johnson, 57, of Laramie, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. He was born December 13, 1960 in Laramie to Robert and Ann (Armstrong) Johnson. He graduated from Riverton High School in 1980.

James enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and 4-wheelers.  He worked most of his life in the oil fields around Wyoming, mostly in the Riverton and Laramie areas.

He was active in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and was the President of the Eagles Club in Riverton in the late 90s.

James was always there to help other people with his kind heart and his big smile!!!

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Johnson of Riverton.

James is survived by his father, Robert Johnson of Laramie; his brother, Edward Johnson of Searchlight, Nevada; and his two nieces, Jeannie Crutchfield of Casper, WY and Jessica Miech of Casper, WY.

He will be sadly missed by dozens of cousins and friends.

A celebration of James’s Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 126 Lyons Street in Laramie, WY.

I”m thinking of you in sympathy and a loving remembrance for your wonderful father and mother. I had the honor to know and help them while they still lived in Laramie.
