Helen C. Sanchez

With her family by her side, Helen Sanchez 91 was welcomed into heaven on March 9, 2026. She was born on July 21, 1934 in Cerro, New Mexico to parents Jose and Mary Candelaria.

Helen married Alex Sanchez and together they made their home in Laramie where they raised five children who were her greatest joy and accomplishment, and she dedicated her life to.

Helen was a devoted Catholic. She was a member of St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church; where she was part of Our Ladies of Guadalupe and the Spanish Choir. Helen enjoyed many hobbies like crafting, bingo and Yahtzee.

Helen is survived by her children, Ruby, Eleanor, Rachel, and Tom (Sylvia); granddaughter, Sarah; great grandsons, Isaiah , Daniel and Eric Martinez; great-great grandchildren, Parker and Laycen and; her siblings, Irene, Bob, Johnny, and special niece, JoAnn.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Alex; her son, Alex Jr; parents as well as siblings, Rosie, Don Arthur, Martha and Wilford .

A visitation for Mrs. Sanchez will be on Friday, March 13th at Montgomery- Stryker Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church.

Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14th at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church, followed by burial at Greenhill Cemetery. Immediately following the services her family will host a lunch.

I’m so very sorry, sending your family lots of prayers and love ❤️. Your mom always felt like mom to me through out all the years!! I loved being around your family, it seemed more like a family to me, your family just took me in!! It breaks 💔 my heart for your loss!! Helen was a great woman and loved her family more than anything ❤️ 💜

My deepest condolences to my Aunt Helen’s family. She was a strong, stern woman with a big heart and was so giving. I will never forget her kindness and compassion. she loved her children immensely! On angels wings she was welcomed into heaven. God bless you all. Love you all!

We were so sad to hear about Helen. What a beautiful and sweet lady she was. We will miss seeing her and visiting with her. Condolences to her family, she was wonderful.

We are so very sorry to hear about Aunt Helen’s passing. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with the family. I know Theresa had told her she had been sick, but we were not aware of her passing.
