Donna R. Wheeler

FB_20160326_15_22_59_Saved_PictureDonna R. Wheeler, 91, of Phoenix, formerly of Laramie died Saturday, March 26, 2016. Donna was born to Gussie and Stella (nee Lovett) Wynant on July 15, 1924. She graduated from Riverton High School in May of 1941.

She married Dee Wheeler on August 17, 1947, in Colorado. In January of 1950, the couple welcomed their daughter, Deena.

Donna lived in the Denver, Colorado until 1969, working several years at Woolworth’s in downtown Denver.  Donna and Dee moved to Bell, California in 1969. She worked at Huntington Park Convalescent Home for 13 years as the activities director. In August of 1989, Donna moved to Laramie. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church and volunteered at the Eppson Center as a Foster Grandparent.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Leslie L. Wynant, Neil E. Wynant, Donald L. Wynant and Leland R. Wynant.

Donna is survived by her son-in-law and daughter, Victor and Deena Grady of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Bonnie Dumler, niece, Marian Sellers and nephew, Cecil Dumler; all of Laramie. She is also survived by three grandchildren, John Miles, Joe Miles, and Brian Miles, three great-grandchildren, Danielle, John and Stefanie, and one great-great-grandchild, Emma.

A private family burial has been scheduled.
