Debbie Nadine Mascarenas, 65, of Laramie, passed away after a brief battle with kidney disease at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. She was born October 25, 1957, to Gasper H. and Ruth E. (Vialpando) Mascarenas in Laramie. She grew up in Rock River, Wyoming and graduated from Rock River High School in 1977.
She spent a lot of her time at the Eppson Center for Senior’s working on the card program and playing bingo. She was also active in all the activities at the Legacy Apartments and loved all the other residents.
Debbie was a very happy, loving, and kind person, which made her a perfect volunteer for Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed baking, crafting and spending time with her nieces and nephews as well as her great nieces and nephews.
Debbie remembered everyone she ever met and could tell you every extended family member’s birthdays! Her smile and laugh were contagious.
She was a member of the Eppson Center for Seniors and a Ladies Bible Study Group, the First Christian Church and the Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Monica Mascarenas.
She is survived by her sister, JoAnn Mascarenas (Bernie) of Denver, and Ed Mascarenas (Tera) of Laramie; her nieces and nephews, Jason Mascarenas, Tenae Jones (Clint), Michelle Cahn, Valarie Wyble, and Lacie Fiolkoski; and her numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a big thank you to the Laramie Legacy Apartment community, the Eppson Center for Seniors and her special friend, Linda Vidal for all of the love and support you gave Debbie.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

I will miss Debbie at Legacy. She was kind, friendly and helpful to everyone. She always made time to chat with me and Nina and went out of her way to make people feel part of the community.
